The names James Hunt and Niki Lauda come to mind after the recent blockbuster biopic "Rush" from Oscar-winning director Ron Howard. Their's was a rivalry so strong and yet so mutually respectful that it made for some of the most exciting racing the sport had ever seen.
The two drivers couldn't be more opposite but their desire to win was fierce. A fiery crash in Lauda's Ferrari Formula 1 car left him permanently disfigured but he was back in a race car only 6 weeks later to compete with Hunt at the Italian Grand Prix. Hunt went on to win the F1 World Championship that year but Lauda wasn't about to let him do so without a fight!
Niki Lauda was a 3x F1 World Champion and went on to become a commentator of the sport along with running his own airline! Hunt won the coveted title just once in 1976, he died at the young age of 45 from a heart attack in 1993.
Having a piece with these 2 very rare signatures together is just incredible! Custom framed with laser-cut graphics and great photos of the two from their racing years. Lastly, an image of the Japanese Grand Prix racetrack, the final race every year to determine the World Championship and one of the most difficult.
Absolutely Amazing piece for Formula One collectors or sports fans of any kind!!
